Vastint France acquired Domaine Vallée Verte, including 7 Ha of land

02 | 12 | 2022

Vastint France recently acquired the Domaine Vallée Verte, an office complex offering ~31.000 m2 lettable in offices and logistics with a 7 Ha land plot of which 1 Ha is a protected forest. Vastint France is planning Business Garden Marseille.

Location

Domaine Vallée Verte lies in the eastern 11th district of Marseille, only 15 minutes from the city centre and 35 minutes from Airport Marseille Provence. The Domaine’s shuttle service to the Barasse railway station provides access to Gare Saint-Charles, Marseille’s central railway and TGV station. The Domaine lies on the midpoint of the future 15km pedestrian-friendly bicycle highway between Aubagne and Marseille’s Plage du Prado on the Mediterranean coast.

Domaine Vallée Verte

Domaine Vallée Verte consists of ~31.000 m2 lettable in offices and logistics in four existing buildings. Bourbon, Moka, and Skybury are 95% leased to more than 30 tenants. Peaberry offers childcare facilities, a concierge service, two restaurants, conference rooms, and a gym.

The site was designed to promote optimal quality of life in the workplace and a sustainable, environmentally-sound approach for companies that have their own ecological sensibilities. The service-oriented approach guarantees tenant satisfaction, and the protected forest at the heart of the Domaine motivates people to enjoy the picnic areas and natural walk paths.

Business Garden Marseille

Business Garden Marseille is under planning, offering ~80,000 m2 of office space. Park houses will serve as an acoustic barrier to the A50 highway, eliminating the presence of vehicles within the complex. The protected forest will be the heart of the complex, reaching into the areas between the buildings down towards the Huveaune River. The banks of the Huveaune River will offer extensive garden areas and serve as the primary pedestrian entrance to the complex.

Business Garden

Vastint is developing Business Gardens all across Europe.

A Business Garden is an innovative large office building complex in an attractive location with low-rise buildings and surrounding green areas. It is dynamic, environmental-friendly, and offers added value to the everyday tenant through Vastint’s office hospitality programme. A pleasant, inspiring, and convenient place to work and live.

The high-quality and sustainable Business Gardens are designed with tenants’ needs in mind. Their architecture, interiors design, and outdoor recreation areas help build a strong culture and community.

Business Garden Riga welcomes two new tenants

02 | 11 | 2022

Vastint Latvia’s Business Garden Riga welcomed two new tenants – AbbVie, a biopharmaceutical company, and Httpool, a digital marketing services provider. Although working from home has become “the new normal” across the world in recent years, both new arrivals have opted to rent bigger work spaces than they had at their previous office premises.

When asked why they chose Business Garden Riga as their new home, both tenants point out its strategic location, sustainable design and many other amenities that will undoubtedly contribute to the employees’ wellbeing and productivity. Among these benefits, both companies note the modern working environment, the vast, elaborately planned garden with its many zones for recreation and sports, The Lounge by Vastint and the spacious carpark.

Gunta Nusbauma, Financial Director of the Baltic-Ukrainian AbbVie branch, is certain that moving their office to Business Garden Riga marks a new chapter in the company’s history, “This new workspace allows us all to be finally working together. Our new office has a lot of light and feels so comfortable, and the staff really appreciate being able to open the windows in the office. We relish the abundant opportunities offered by the rich environment of the Business Garden campus: you can savour lunch at the local restaurant or order snacks there for your event, that can be hosted in The Lounge, enjoy the many micro mobility options and never be worried about finding a free parking space.”

Meanwhile, Arnis Ozols, board member at Httpool, emphasises the importance of the new working environment in fostering creativity and teamwork, “Our whole business is built on generating ideas, and this can only be achieved by getting together and talking. This makes the quality of our work environment, as well as the employees’ wellbeing, all the more important. We highly value Vastint’s all-encompassing approach towards these priorities. We are also immensely happy with the many benefits Business Garden offers its tenants: proximity to the airport, modern workspaces with impeccable air quality, the many opportunities offered by The Lounge, the spacious green grounds with zones for sports and fitness, and many other advantages. Of course, one of these advantages is being able to grow together with Business Garden and the option of choosing a bigger office space in the future.”

Both new tenants have opted for multi-purpose office premises, consisting of an open work area, kitchen, breakroom, executive offices, meeting rooms, phone booth rooms and storage spaces. The Httpool break room features an active leisure corner. Both companies have chosen light-coloured interiors with contrasting accents for their offices. The defining feature of the AbbVie office design is the use of natural wood elements in the finishes. Both premises have an abundance of indoor plants, which create a sense of a natural environment, perfectly fitting with the Business Garden concept as well as Vastint’s sustainability-based approach.

K2 office building among most sustainable buildings in Poland

08 | 10 | 2022

Vastint Poland has received LEED Platinum certification for the K2 office building in Gdynia. The building has passed the verification of multi-criteria environmental assessment and has been counted among the most sustainable buildings in Poland. K2 is distinguished by its high energy efficiency and efficient heating, cooling and ventilation systems.

Vastint has been developing projects in accordance with the international sustainable standards for many years and boasts more than 70 certified properties, including five of the world’s 30 highest-scoring LEED-certified buildings. In some of the countries where it operates, Vastint has completed some of the first sustainable buildings, including Business Garden Riga being the first LEED-certified office complex in Latvia, and the Courtyard Brussels EU Hotel which is the first project of its kind to received LEED certification in the Benelux countries.

Vastint Poland’s latest development, the K2 office building, located on Kielecka Street in Gdynia, has joined the list of certified buildings. The certificate is a confirmation that the project was designed with its long-term impact on the planet in mind, and provides working conditions characteristic for healthy and efficient buildings. Particularly noteworthy are the technical solutions used, which not only ensure the aforementioned standard of office space, but also allow greater cost-effectiveness in terms of energy and water consumption, and air quality control. Vastint UK launches largest phase of commercial at Sugar House Island

Vastint UK launches largest phase of commercial at Sugar House Island

Sugar House Island’s latest and largest phase of commercial – Chimney Walk – launched this week offering 22,000 m2 primarily office space across three prominent buildings.

Chimney Walk offices and retail

The buildings sit at the gateway to Sugar House Island, fronting onto Stratford High Street, with the pedestrianised Chimney Walk to their south. The ground floor units will be occupied by a mix of café’s, restaurants, shops and services, activating the public realm along with a host of street food markets and seasonal outdoor events.

The offices are built with sustainability and employee well-being in mind. Each of the buildings has private and communal roof terraces for employees to use, supporting collaboration and relaxation. State-of-the-art cycle storage and repair facilities encourage green travel to work, and the contemporary changing and drying facilities make the journey in to work more comfortable than ever. Parking and electric vehicle charging points are also available.

Michael Cronin, Vastint UK; “We are thrilled to be launching this next phase of commercial at Sugar House Island following the success of Dane’s Yard, which is now over 90% let or under offer. Chimney Walk will deliver a host of brand-new collaborative workspaces to the east end property market. The launch follows some exciting new amenity arriving at the Island; Jim & Tonic opened their riverside bar, restaurant and gin distillery this summer as well as MARCHON Stratford and their state-of-the-art fitness facility. We’re excited to see what this next chapter brings for Sugar House Island and its growing community.“

History

Chimney Walk is named after the three restored industrial era chimneys that line the walkway. The chimneys which date back to the late 19th century, have been dismantled with their bricks cleaned in order for them to be re-erected in their original place. They provide an important nod back to the Island’s industrial heritage and act as prominent wayfinding markers.

The Three buildings named Type Building, The Ink House and Colour Works hark back to the print and ink industries which once operated here at Sugar House Island.

Vastint Latvia honoured during Industry Award Season 2022

06 | 10 | 2022

Each year industry professionals await the Autumn with much anticipation, since it is the awards season and time to look back at what has been done. And this September has brought Vastint Latvia two causes for celebration.

First, at the annual Sustainability in Architecture, Construction and Design competition, organised by the Building Design and Construction Council in Latvia, Vastint Latvia’s residential quarter Lindenholma was awarded 1st place in the Most Sustainable Landscaping category.

“We are truly proud of the fact that every single Vastint Latvia project has received an industry award. But each new award also adds to our professional responsibility, as it sets the bar even higher for us.” comments Romans Astahovs, the Managing Director of Vastint Latvia.

Second, the multi-storey car park at 27 Daibes iela was recognised as one of the best recently built public constructions. It was awarded 3rd place in the Public Construction — Industrial Building category at the Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2021 competition.

Of course, we couldn’t have done it without the experts who took part in our projects,” adds Romans, acknowledging the input made by Vastint’s partners, “We are incredibly lucky to be working with people whose talent and dedication allow us to achieve new heights as a company each year.”

Moxy Utrecht achieves LEED Platinum

06 | 10 | 2022

Vastint Netherlands’ Moxy Utrecht has been awarded the highest possible LEED certification – Platinum.

Moxy Utrecht

The 172-bedroom Moxy hotel in Utrecht, the Netherlands, is located at the new cultural and creative hotspot Rotsoord, at the waterfront of the canal Vaartsche Rijn and within walking distance of the historical centre. Moxy Utrecht is very easily accessible via the brand new railway station Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn, which also includes a parking garage with over 200 parking places.

Besides the 172 rooms, 9 of which are suitable for families and accessible to the disabled, Moxy Utrecht offers 100 seats on the large, sunny terrace at the water side. With its bar and terrace Moxy Utrecht forms a new meeting place for guests and Utrecht residents. People can come here 24 hours a day for a drink and a dish from the menu. There is also a small meeting room that visitors and guests can use.

In the menu and interior design, local elements play a role. In the lobby, the huge Rietveld chair is the first eye-catcher upon entering. The Rietveld colours are also reflected in the graffiti artwork at the bicycle rental in the lobby. Also chairs from the Pastoe factory, which is located around the corner, adorn the lobby, as does a table made from an old tree that once stood in the city. In the hallway to the lifts and gym, guests also have a ‘view’ of the city, thanks to a unique work of art: a large pen drawing of Utrecht on the wall. The rooms are stylish and basic: dark with Moxy pink details.
